Although Paleo and Keto diets each have its own objective, still they have similarities that can make them incorporated into a Paleo-keto diet. Following the two diets leads you to avoid high-carb fruits and vegetables, dairy products, except for grass-fed butter, and artificial sweeteners. On the other hand, they allow low-carb produce like berries, kale, avocado, cauliflower, broccoli, and zucchini, and quality or healthy fats, such as salmon, coconut oil, nuts and seeds, avocado oil, butter, ghee, and tallow. In brief, both keto and paleo diets emphasize eliminating all processed foods and using whole and natural foods instead. And they insist on the exclusion of processed fats, oils, and sweeteners.
The differences between Paleo and Keto Diets
Various foods are allowed on both diets. Firstly, there are some foods that are allowed on the Keto diet and not paleo and vice versa. For instance, dairy products are acceptable on the keto diet but not on paleo, whereas starchy vegetables such as potatoes are found on paleo diet, but not on keto diet. Secondly, even if the paleo diet focuses on consuming a big amount of healthy fats, paleo diet users still eat less fat than keto diet users. In order to achieve ketosis, the keto diet focuses on the macronutrient ratio which is the amount of fats, carbs, and proteins in each meal. This fat is the primary macro for keto. On the other hand, in paleo diet, there is no limitation from counting macronutrients.

In general, whether you are following Paleo or keto diet you will benefit from many advantages, for example; reducing weight, lowering inflammation, and balancing blood pressure and cholesterol.
